Marc Paul Kaplan, a lifetime skier, has spent the past winters in Squaw Valley, California, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Marc is an avid outdoorsman and successful businessman in the San Francisco Bay Area. His longtime interest in nature has led him to serve for many years on the Board of Directors of The Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek, California.

While researching for his debut novel, Over the Edge, Marc interviewed Vietnam and Korean War veterans who trusted him with their stories. Marc is currently at work on his second novel, centered around the Klondike Gold Rush.
